Finally *sigh*
I'm making themes for my current project; Project Mage: Spirit Summoner. Still, Garage Band to the stuff for me OTZ. I wish I was a little bit more funded. Anyway...
There are three main storyline, each three has their own respective main themes. All three segments take different time and places, telling different sets of characters, but still in the main principal: telling about these people who are able to control their environment with their spirit power (to cut it short, it's the term you know as "magic").
PNEUMA ~ Main Theme for The Beginning
Spirit Summoning is the art of how souls can synchronize to multiple layers of the universe in order to find a better place and find an ultimate harmony within the soul (to the extent, world). Take a journey with Athanos, a Spirit Warrior, in quest of finding truth and justice in the world where love of wisdom is expanding as well as the true nature of brutal human nature indulged over the earth. Accompanied with a quirky priestess, Malaika, Athanos has to stop the emerging war between Greece and Rome and reveal the true meaning for being a Spirit Summoner.
ANDE ~ Main Theme for The Only One
Love is the strongest faith that will overcome darkness. Love is the spirit that keeps the world alive. Being a lone Spirit Summoner with heavy destiny, takes Farulf to a journey of faith, love, and betrayal. Where Spirit Summoning is no more an ability to retain peace, Farulf face his destiny whether to bring back the true meaning of Spirit Summoning and to find a meaning of his own existence.
MODSEFA ~ Main Theme for The Destiny
Victorian era, Spirit Summoning is now only a myth. People are struggling for power and domination, blinded by the means of achieving the ultimate place of the universe means to rule the universe itself. Remaining Spirit Summoners are kept secret and motivated by different purposes, to survive as a unique being or to gain power with their marvelous ability. This is where an ordinary man crosses path with two children of destiny that will purify the arts of Spirit Summoning once and for all.
...Sort of.
Pneuma: I want to bring the weirdness, ethnic, powerful feeling since it is the "main" main theme. So it's like saying "This is how it begins, be prepared" kind of feeling. It's in Greek. I don't know whether it's right or not but this was all the work of my lovely translator on the dashboard. *poor* Thank you Garage Band for putting Mediterranean instruments and pattern \(0)/ And making Greek ethnic music is quite amusing since it has similarity to Middle-Eastern music which develop into "dangdut music" here in Indonesia.
My brother says "THIS IS TOO SHADOW HEARTS".... Well... I was thinking making something twisted like Shadow Hearts but... I don't know. I insist this is not that similar. *tsun*
Ande: Since the actual story is a love story... So it has a more soothing nature, but still majestic. It shares similar composition to Pneuma (since it's the original main theme) combining it with this story's another two songs "The Only One" and "Eleonora's Song". So it's pretty much an overture for all the main themes. The beginning starts with a Swedish folk-esque chant to emphasize the set.
Modsefa: Probably the only theme without chants. First, it takes time to learn old Anglo-Saxon language, second... I can't find any idea of chanting and the leads are already taken by the whole instruments so putting voice will only dull them. Modsefa feels more "movie like" because it's the ultimate theme so I kinda wanna make it "mature". Aside the English folk elements, I powered this piece with elements of British Invasion (the bass line especially) since everything is just better with rock music. I thought about romantic composition (since it's Victorian era) but... It feels rather too operatic.
All titles means "Spirit" in different languages. Guess what language is what.
